European Leadership Network's publication makes parallels between economic situation in Europe after World War II and current Ukrainian economy. 70 years ago Europe stood wrecked and prospects were bleak for its economic recovery. Three years later the United States, understanding that a prosperous Europe was needed for a peaceful world, launched the US$17bn Marshall Plan (worth $120bn today).
