According to Naftogaz of Ukraine, national vertically integrated oil and gas company, already installed meters allow to measure about 90% of total natural gas consumption in residential sector. International experience proved that installation of meters allow to save up to 30% of households' natural gas consumption. Based on current legislation, all residential consumers should be equipped with natural gas meters before 2016, if they use gas for water heating and cooking, or before 2018, if gas is used for cooking only.
