Ukrainian company secured financing for 25 MW biomass power project

Ukrainian renewables company  DNC Energy announced that it got funding through a bond programme to build a 25 MW biomass power plant in the Kyiv region, which will use wood chips, corn stover, sunflower and wheat straw as fuel for direct combustion.

Renewable energy projects are being supported in Ukraine through "green" power tariffs. It is expected that "green"tariffs will be set at the level of $0.18 per kWh sold to the national grid. DNC Energy has already identified eight sites where it plans to build 200 MW of generation capacity by 2020. Read more at http://renewables.seenews.com/
