Canada provides financing for investment projects and loans for economic stabilization in Ukraine

Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Waschuk met head of Kherson state administration Andriy Putilov last week and announced  a launch of two economic projects  in Ukrainian agriculture sector worth 40 million Canadian dollars. Projects will cover four regions and  will last for 7 years.

At the end of March, the Honorable Rob Nicholson, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs,  publicized the official signing of the disbursement of Canada’s second $200-million low-interest loan to Ukraine to help stabilize Ukraine’s economy, bringing the total value of Canada’s loan agreement with Ukraine to $400 million.Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce  makes efforts to strengthen cooperation between businesses of two countries. Over the past two years, more than 200 Ukrainian entrepreneurs visited Canada to establish contacts and negotiate business deals with Canadian partners.
